Furthermore I would be interested in the proceedure that ronnie used to install wn111 adapter, and was it 32 or 64bit os you are using? Actually, I've gotten my Netgear WG111v2 to work in Windows 7 RTM 64bit just fine. I hope that this will help anyone else having problems with wireless usb adapters in windows 7 64bit. It installed off the cd and runs perfectly. So ended up buying the Linksys WUSB600N adapter. Even tried all the different compatability modes. Downloaded the lastest drivers from website didn't help. I thought, there has to be some other hardware interfering with this.

I poured through countless forums, tried the suggestions in this forum (I had the WN111 driver but I am using the netmw245 as suggested above). I got Ubuntu installed, got my Logitech bluetooth mouse and keyboard configured no prob. I decided I wanted to try the new Ubuntu 8.10 since it said it supported wireless. I have a PC that I was running WinXP Pro on, connected to my 42" LCD to watch movies from the 'net and play DVD's, blah, blah, blah. I had been working on this for three days!!
